McIvor's Family Ministry Vision

Why? As an outgrowth of our conversations surrounding the Vision-Mission-Values re-focusing, McIvor church leadership has endorsed the vision for family based ministry model. Leadership believes this is the direction for McIvor, as it is Christ Centered, Community Oriented and Missionally directed. Family Based Ministry is about partnering: church and families. Partnering with the family to encourage, equip, resource and walk along side of you as the spiritual leaders of you families. While we are currently working on the fist stage of implementation, we assure you that the other ministries within McIvor will also be looked at as well (nursery to senior) to see how the vision for family based ministry can be integrated/threaded through each one.

So we are going to begin with some changes. We are inviting you downstairs for the shared family experience. You have the opportunity to come downstairs, perhaps for the first time, and see what happens in the lower half of the church! For sure, once a month we require at least one guardian to attend the shared family experience with their kid(s). We also invite the church family at large to be a part of this. Which means, you may see the older generation singing songs and doing actions with the younger generation, or spending time talking about the drama, or DVD clip. We promise you will be glad you took those steps!
