Status: Half-time (18.75 hours/week)

Candidate should be able and willing, together with his / her spouse, (if applicable), to become a member of the McIvor Avenue MB Church
and support its vision and mission in ministry.
Ministry Profile:
To provide leadership to a dynamic children’s ministry, which includes Sunday morning and mid-week programs, which will
partner with families to reach and disciple children, in partnership with the Children’s Ministry Teams.
Personal Profile:
A growing and healthy personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is rooted in spiritual disciplines and
demonstrated by the Great Commission.
A servant spirit and a desire to enable others in their gifts and talents.
Evidence of a call and a passion for children with complementary spiritual gifts.
Verifiable ministry experience with children.
Theology is in agreement with the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith.
At minimum, an undergraduate degree, preferably in church ministry.
Strategic Goals:
Provide leadership, direction and resources to McIvor’s Sunday morning and mid-week children’s programs, in collaboration
with volunteer teams, in partnership with families, to foster spiritual formation in the lives of children.
Equip the Children’s Ministry Teams through providing leadership, resources, team building and encouragement.
Strategize with McIvor leadership and ministry teams on how children’s ministry at McIvor can more effectively
fulfill our church vision and mission.
Dream and think creatively to develop ways of making children’s ministry at McIvor more meaningful and effective.

Passionate in dedication to the spiritual growth and character development of both children and the adults who lead them.
Values organizational skills and ability to manage both teams and tasks in a non-threatening environment through delegation, accountability and evaluation.
Displays good rapport with children, volunteers and parents.
